ಆಯುರ್ವೇದ ಔಷಧಗಳ ತಯಾರಿಕೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪೂರೈಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ 63 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಅವಿಚ್ಛಿನ್ನವಾದ ಹಾಗೂ ಪ್ರಗತಿಪರ ಜನಮಾನ್ಯ ವ್ಯವಹಾರವೆಂದರೆ ಸಣ್ಣ ಸಾಧನೆಯಲ್ಲ, ಸ್ವದೇಶಿ ಔಷಧ ಭಂಡಾರದವರ ಪ್ರಾಮಾಣಿಕತೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಉತ್ಪಾದನೆಗಳ ಗುಣಮಟ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ಇದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಬೇರೆ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿ ಬೇಕಾಗಿಲ್ಲ.
ಆಸವ, ಆರಿಷ್ಟ, ಚೂರ್ಣ, ತೈಲ, ಭಸ್ಮ, ಲೇಹ ಮೊದಲಾದ ಆಯುರ್ವೇದೋಕ್ತವಾದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ತರದ ಔಷಧಗಳು ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿದ್ಧವಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದರೂ ಮಹತ್ವದ ಅನೇಕ ರಸೌಷಧಗಳನ್ನು ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಕನ್ನಡ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮೊದಲಿಗೆ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಮಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ತಯಾರಿಸ ತೊಡಗಿದವರು ಬಹುಶಃ ಸ್ವದೇಶಿ ಔಷಧ ಭಂಡಾರದವರು.

ಈ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯು ಕಳೆದ 6 ದಶಕಗಳಿಂದ ಅವ್ಯಾಹತವಾಗಿ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರೀಯವಾಗಿಯು ಮತ್ತು ಪದ್ಧತಿಗನುಸಾರವಾಗಿಯು ಆಯುರ್ವೇದ ಔಷಧ ಗಳನ್ನು ತಯಾರಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಇಂದು ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಾಮಾಣಿಕತೆಯಿಂದ ಉತ್ತಮ ಮಟ್ಟದ ಆಯುರ್ವೇದ ಔಷಧಗಳನ್ನು ತಯಾರುಮಾಡುವ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳು ಬೆರಳೆಣಿಕೆಯಷ್ಟು, ಅಂತವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯು ಒಂದು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಲು ನನಗೆ ಅಭಿಮಾನವೆನಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.

ಈ ಬೆಳೆಯುತ್ತಿರುವ ಔಷಧ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ ಶಾಲೆಯನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಬಹಳ ಸಂತೋಷವಾಯ್ತು, ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರೀಯ ಔಷಧಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ತಯಾರಿಸುವ ವಿಧಾನಗಳು ಅಚ್ಚುಕಟ್ಟಾಗಿದೆ. ಉತ್ಸಾಹಿ ತರುಣರ ನೇತೃತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯು ಬೆಳೆದು ಸಮಾಜ ಸೇವೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಂದರಿಯುವುದರಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವ ಸಂಶಯವು ಇಲ್ಲ.

ತನ್ನದೆ ಆದ ಐತಿಹಾಸಿಕ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿರುವ ಆಯುರ್ವೇದ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸಾಕ್ರಮ ಹಾಗೂ ಔಷಧಗಳು ಜನರ ಮನಸ್ಸಿನಿಂದ ದೂರವಾಗುತ್ತಿರುವ ಸನ್ನಿವೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಮತ್ತೆ ಈ ದೇಶದ ಪ್ರಾಚೀನ ಹಾಗೂ ತನ್ನದೆ ಆದ ವೈಶಿಷ್ಟ್ಯವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿರುವ ಆಯುರ್ವೇದ ಔಷಧಗಳನ್ನು ತಯಾರಿಸಿ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಅದು ದೊರಕುವ ಸಾಹಸವನ್ನು ಡಾ. ಶಾಂತಾರಾಮ ಪ್ರಭು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ಒಂದು ಉತ್ತಮ ಕೆಲಸ.
